For nearly three decades, Laramie Interfaith has provided a means for our community to help neighbors meet their basic needs. We began as a small group of caring and motivated community members working together to help our their neighbors in need. Our organization believes that no one in our community should go without food or a roof over their head, and is committed to rising to meet the needs of our neighbors. In pursuit of our mission, we have grown from that small group of motivated community members to a brick-and-mortar organization that houses a free community pantry (with satellite pantries and food outreach partners around the county) and assists dozens weekly with rent and utilities payments.
Though there were growing pains, Laramie Interfaith had to rapidly adjust to the needs as well as the support from our community, through which we accomplish so much! In 2022, Laramie Interfaith was able to show what it could do with help from its neighbors. We distributed roughly 300,000 lbs. of food to over 600 households, and also help provide 1100 families with rent and utility assistance to help prevent homelessness, more than double any other year! These are not just numbers, however. These are our community members and neighbors. These are thousands of people who also call Laramie home, and to whom our supporters have shown the heart of our community. We could not have done this without community members like you.
We need your help continuing our mission. We have no hope of reaching our goals without help from our supporters. As each us of has witnessed, the cost of daily essentials like food and gas have skyrocketed this year. Despite working with our gracious partners in Laramie, food is hard to come by these days. Fortunately, one of the many things we've learned is that we should never underestimate the generosity of our community!
